Blog #4

The brain is one of the most intriguing parts of the human body. It’s amazing how the brain functions and controls so much of what we do and feel. My brain helped me compose this blog and the words I have put into it. It is a work horse. But, some people have brains that don’t function properly and this can lead to mental health issues. A few of these abnormalities include depression or being bipolar and unfortunately there is very little that you can do it to make it go away forever. Yes, you can go through therapy and/or take medication but that’s only treating the symptoms. It’s very important that these brain abnormalities don’t go unnoticed. If you see someone who is struggling try and encourage them to get help. Although I don’t suffer from either of these disorders I deal with anxiety and nervousness. Saying hello to someone may go further then you realize. Yes, one word or one connection can go a long way in helping others. Entering college most students will feel some anxiety and feel stressed out. This could lead to someone feeling hopeless which is a terrible feeling. What I learned is that everyone goes through phases and most things get better with time. For people, out there who are struggling, just keep pushing forward. Better times are soon to come. With a little faith and hope and coping strategies anything is possible.
