As the use of social media and technology continues to increase you will see the rise in the use of viral marketing or viral advertising. Social media has made viral marketing what it is today. When you visit a web-site, watch an online video, or log into a social media site you will see some type of advertising. It is how companies today get the word out about their product. Celebrities are often used in this marketing tool. Companies looking to advertise their product often reach out to celebrities who have millions of follows to say promote our product and we will pay you. The followers of the celebrity see that person using or taking about the product and think they should use it as well. The celebrities make lots of money and the companies get their product seen. Another good example of viral marketing is YouTube. When you post a 10-minute video on YouTube, can use ads into certain parts of the video to create revenue. This is one way that you-tubers, especially large you tubers with millions of viewers who watch their videos, can make really good money. Combine that with the money they make from their actual videos and some are becoming very rich. A win-win situation for everyone.
